The Bottom Line: The Throne Room Perspective

Transcript:

As Christians we’ve been raised with Jesus Christ and are seated with Him in the heavenly realms according to Ephesians 2:6. Therefore, we need to keep focusing on Jesus and His awesome power instead of on outward circumstances. Once we start seeing life from our majestic Lord’s throne room perspective, we’ll recognize that nothing can thwart His purposes. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Position of Power

Transcript:

One way to kindle the wrath of God against us is to become arrogant when we’re in a position of leadership and influence. Biblically, Nebuchadnezzar made the mistake of thinking he was more important than God. When we’re placed in leadership it’s important that we serve with an attitude of humility and obedience. To those that God calls, He gives anointing and authority. Yet, we can lose it all if we start following our own agenda and thinking too highly of ourselves. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Nation Shaking Prayer

Transcript:

The faithful prayers of one godly person can change the destiny of a nation. In 1 Samuel 7:5-9, the people of Israel were facing an enemy invasion and pleaded with the prophet Samuel to intercede before the Lord for them. Samuel said he would only do so if they would stop worshipping idols and repent of their sins. When they did, Samuel cried out to God on their behalf and the Lord saved them from their enemies. That’s nation shaking prayer! I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Testimony Power

Transcript:

Some can dispute what we believe but they can’t easily deny the evidence of what Jesus Christ has done for us. Our testimony carries power in bringing others to Jesus and in opening a way for us to speak to those who initially oppose us. Paul recognized this, so rather than preaching a sermon to a hostile crowd he shared his testimony. Likewise, we need to share our testimony because the power is not in us but in our testimony. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Gap Standers

Transcript:

God is looking for an individual who will “stand in the gap” or in other words intercede on behalf of His people and plead their case before Him so they will not be destroyed. God is looking for people who will listen to His perspective on the news and respond by “standing in the gap.” Through prayer we can help establish and restore God’s eternal purposes for the nations of the world. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: The Cost of Discipleship

Transcript:

Here’s a quick question for you. What would be the hardest thing for you to surrender to follow Jesus on the path of true discipleship? We need to understand that the way to true discipleship is through the cross of Jesus Christ. There we surrender our old life in exchange for His resurrection life. We need to ask God to help us be willing to say yes to His will and yes to His way. Are you ready to follow Christ? I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Seeking God

Transcript:

Proverbs 8:17, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.” Seeking God is the key to knowing Him. When we sincerely seek Him, He will reveal himself to us through His Word, other people, the circumstances of life and we won’t be disappointed. We’ll find a loving God of faultless character who delights in justice and righteousness. To know Him is to love Him and to worship Him. So, seek God. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass of the River Christian Center and that’s the bottom line because the Word of God says so.

The Bottom Line: Jealousy

Transcript:
One of the most dangerous emotions is jealousy. Some people are jealous of those who have better houses. Some are jealous of those who have more talent, better jobs, bigger cars, and so on.  Jealousy is a passionate emotion, that if allowed to move to hate, can drive a person to kill. A biblical example of jealousy was when Cain killed his brother Abel. So, don’t allow jealousy to destroy friendships, relationships, or even, to take a life. I’m Pastor Jeff Bass, and that’s The Bottom Line, because the Word of God says so.
